More about me, a self-described ‘functioning introvert’…

CREATIVE BACKGROUND

After graduating from a two-year program from the Delaware College of Art and Design (DCAD) I finished my bachelors in illustration from the Maryland Institute (MICA) in 2010. I cut my design chops in a screen printing shop where I learned a lot of valuable skills in both digital and physical production.

After time spent at an agency focused on CPG and pharmaceuticals, I choose to make a big switch to the non-profit world and work at a university. While living in Colorado I was also contracted for illustration and design work with many grant-funded projects including the National Park Service, NOAA, and the city of Boulder. Over my 7 years at the college I moved from a departmental graphic designer to working as the interim Creative Director for the entire campus.

During my time out West, I also went back to school in 2018 to earn a Masters in Communications and Media (with an emphasis on marketing).

Now back on the east coast, I’m currently working remotely for a well-known EdTech company as a Director of Brand, mentoring designers and evolving an exciting portfolio of products.

OUTSIDE OF THE OFFICE

I love to travel and spend time outdoors with my spouse and our two terriers. Any given weekend you might find me biking to the beach, drawing, taking photos, or working in stained glass.
