More about me, a self-described ‘functioning introvert’…
After I finished my bachelors in Illustration from the Maryland Institute (MICA) in 2010. I cut my design chops in a screen printing shop where I learned a lot of valuable skills in both digital and physical production.
After time spent at an agency focused on CPG and pharmaceuticals, I choose to make a big switch to the non-profit world and work at a university. While living in Colorado I was also contracted for illustration and design work with many grant-funded projects including the National Park Service, NOAA, and the City of Boulder. Over my 7 years at the college I moved from a departmental graphic designer to being trusted as the interim Creative Director for the entire university.
During my time out West, I also went back to school in 2018 to earn a Masters in Communications and Media (with an emphasis on marketing).
Now back on the east coast, I’m currently working remotely for a well-known EdTech company as Director of Brand, mentoring designers and evolving an exciting portfolio of products. Outside of the office I enjoy traveling with my spouse and two terriers, shelling on the beach, and working in stained glass.
Testimonials
Bonnie is amazing. Over the past 10 years I have used Bonnie to design both personal and business projects. She created our original business logo and continues to help us update it to keep it modern. She has also helped us with our branding over the past 6 years. I appreciate Bonnie's creativity and the timely manner in which she is able to complete projects for me. I would strongly recommend her for anyone looking for help with their logo, their brand, or even just fun projects for the company.

Bonnie Palmatory exhibits a unique blend of creativity and professionalism that makes her stand out. I hired her at Benchworks as a designer because of her impressive portfolio and her demeanor. Bonnie is highly creative and very skilled at her craft. She displayed an excellent rapport with clients, really listening to them. She understands the importance of branding and how to effectively execute that through design. I still rely on her as a freelance designer because she delivers exactly what I need on time and is so easy to work with. I describe the project and she responds with ideas and designs that are right on target every time.

Bonnie was an absolute pleasure to work with. I was the project manager on a social science research project funded by NOAA that involved producing communication materials with the goal of mitigating human-sea turtle interactions. Bonnie's design work was professional, paid attention to detail, was always delivered in a quick-turn around and just looked stellar. She was communicative, reliable, a team player and is an extreme talented and versatile designer. I would not hesitate to contact and hire her again on future projects!

Bonnie is an exceptional designer. I was able to work with her for almost 2 years at Benchworks, during which time she was my primary designer on the pharmaceutical client whom I was the Account Executive/Project Manager on. Not only was she able to take the client's ideas (which at times were vague) and elevate them, but she also was able to take the feedback that was receive and give the client what they wanted, even if the client did not know what exactly that was. Working with her was a true joy and I hope to have the opportunity to work with her again in the future.
